My feeds

Neal suggested I post the websites I frequent as an easy-post. As this past 30 minutes involved getting some breakfast, I’ll take any easy posts I can get.

I have 7 tags in my google reader:

  • internet warrior (e/tech policy news)
  • living (tips/tricks for better living)
  • personal
  • fun
  • comix
  • school (ubc and higher ed news)
  • teh news

My favorite feeds are:

(internet warrior)

ArsTechnica Law and Disorder – Tech battles in the courts internationally.

Wired Threat Level – Cybersecurity, mostly.

Lifehacker – DIY, tech shortcuts, frugalism. A good all around blog.

The Sartorialist – Fashion photoblog. #iliveinkits

Bitten – Mark Bittman’s food blog. Recepies and rants.

A Softer World – A mixed bag of comics that are morbidly depressing, and incredibly inspirational.

Pictures for Sad Children – Not so much ‘ha ha’ funny, but still a hoot.

Married to the Sea – Ye ol’ timesy stuff remixed for the luls.

This blog.

UBC Insiders – Neal’s coverage of campus is top-notch.

Inside Higher Ed – Manditory reading for anyone who works in North American academia.

Open Education News – A blog chronicling the ever growing open ed movement.

(teh news)

NPR 7am News Summary – Goes well with morning coffee.

The Court.ca – Coverage of Canada’s Supreme Court.
